The 2023 Yangtze River Delta Computing Power Development Conference was held in Suzhou on Sunday. Experts and scholars from across the country, representatives of national computing power hub cities, and computing power supply and demand ecological enterprises gathered in Suzhou to discuss the future of innovative cluster development in the computing power industry in the digital economy era.

Based in Suzhou, targeting the Yangtze River Delta, and serving the whole country, this hub will coordinate the efficient circulation and scheduling of computing power, establish a centralized grid connection, scheduling, and operation mechanism for computing power resources, and provide services such as unified management of computing power, transaction matching, and ecological cultivation.

The China Computing Power Network Alliance was launched on the sidelines of the conference. The alliance will serve and create a national integrated, multi-level linkage, integrated innovation, and independently controllable computing power network system.

The conference witnessed the official launch of the Suzhou Public Computing Power Service Platform, the signing of a cooperation agreement with national computing power ecological enterprises and the release of a batch of support policies and industrial funds.

“We will collaborate with the government of Suzhou to build supercomputing or computing centers so as to provide intelligent or supercomputing services for all enterprises in Suzhou”, Wu Jiong, General Manager of Mobile Cloud Marketing Department, said.

“We will build cost-effective, efficient, and innovative computing infrastructure resources, providing a maximum of three years and a maximum of 3 million yuan per year in computing power subsidies for large-scale model development so as to accelerate the localization rate of artificial intelligence computing power”, Lu Jianrong, Director of the Big Data Department of Suzhou Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, said.

In recent years, Suzhou has accelerated the development of its computing power industry by establishing a number of computing power platforms and data centers with demonstration effects.

At present, Suzhou has recorded an annual output value of 200 billion yuan in the computing power industry, with a trading volume of over 100 million yuan on the big data exchange, serving a population of over 16 million, over 900 thousand enterprises, and over 2.91 million business entities.

It is expected that by 2025, Suzhou will record an annual output value of over 400 billion yuan in computing power industry to become one of the important highlands for the development of computing power industry in the Yangtze River Delta and even the entire country.
