The China-Netherlands Technology Innovation Port started operation in Xiangcheng District, Suzhou on Wednesday. The port will create a new benchmark for China-Netherlands industrial cooperation and an important hub for linking international innovation resources in the Yangtze River Delta.

The China-Netherlands Suzhou Industrial Cooperation Innovation Park was unveiled. Two special funds for China-Netherlands cooperation, each reporting 1 billion yuan of capital, were released at the ceremony. The funds will focus on intelligent manufacturing and new energy.

Xiangcheng District has also signed contracts with the European Association of Students Studying in China and the Chinese Federation of Students and Scholars Studying in the Netherlands, aiming to introduce more high-quality projects and talents from the Netherlands, and create a highland for China-Netherlands exchanges.

“In the future, we will rely on this carrier as the foundation to target the cutting-edge advantages of the Netherlands, give full play to the good industrial foundation and resource of Xiangcheng District, and focus on building a new highland for China-Netherlands industrial innovation spearheaded by intelligent equipment, advanced materials, and new energy,” said Shen Yiming, Deputy Secretary,Party Working Committee/ Director of Suzhou High-speed Rail New Town Administration.
